The system recovers 5% PU average waste made during the processing stages of the supply chain and destined for landfill.
The material is shredded, pulverized and fed back into the footwear production cycle.
A production scrap recovery kit is combined with rotary injection molding carousels. The scraps are then conveyed to a material shredding and pulverization line.
The resulting powder ends up in a pre-mixing tank (15 percent recycled product versus 85 percent virgin material) and then fed back into the production loop.
Not only PU can be recycled, but other families of materials (EVA or rubber, for example) can also be incorporated into the new blends.
